However, for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who are blind or partially sighted, these things can be challenging. A helping hand can make a world of difference. Become a CNIB Vision Mate and experience the reward of giving back. With only two hours a week, you can help someone in your community with these everyday tasks. Registration is continuing for the Vinland Music Camp, a week long event which takes place at Killdevil in Gros Morne National Park from August 20th to 26th. This is an opportunity for people of all ages to improve their instrument skills, writes songs, learn some folk dances, and have lots of fun playing music together. Camp Evergreen, a project of Hope For Ryan Incorporated, is now accepting registration for the Family Fun Weekend, taking place on the West Coast from July 28th to 30th. This weekend will include two nights of camping and a Family Fun Day featuring a petting zoo, mini golf, dog show, air rifle and archery range, tee-pee time, gross motor games, face painting and more. Public Legal Info will be running a free Youth Justice Summer Camp on August 1st, 2nd and 3rd at the CYN/YMCA in the Millbrook Mall. The camp will run each day from 9:00am to 3:30pm and lunch will be provided. Registration is required. The camp is open to ages 12 to 15. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Council 3742 Knights of Columbus in Stephenville are holding their 4th Chase the Ace Fundraiser each Sunday. Tickets will be sold from 1:00pm to 3:45pm at the Knights of Columbus Building on West Street, with the draw taking place at 4:00pm. Tickets are $2 each, 3 for $5, or 7 for $10. Tickets will be sold on the day of the draw only.

The White Bay South/Deer Lake Sub-Chapter of the Children's Wish Foundation will be hosting an ATV Ride for Wishes. Registration will begin at 10:00am from 241 Country Road in Hampden. This is a pledge based fundraiser that you can attend alone or with the whole family. There will be a 40km ride and a boil up. Prizes will be awarded to the top three fundraisers.
